Boat cruise on Periyar Lake

Kerala Tourism Development Corporation and Kerala forest department together provide the facilities for a boat cruise in Periyar Lake. Visitors have to pay the park entrance fee and bus fare at the main gate check post. Visitors then have to board forest department bus to enter inside the wildlife sanctuary. The first bus starts at 6’0 clock in the morning. It is around 5 km journey from the check post to the sanctuary entrance. The entry pass will be verified by the forest officials at the park entrance and we should keep this entry pass with us to get the tickets for boat ride and any kind of Eco-tourism programs.
